9 Months

On February 15th Clara hit 9 months!  She has changed so much over the past month, it's like she learns something new every day.  It's so much fun to watch her little personality emerge and to see her discover new things.

At 9 months Miss Clara...

---Weighs 16 lbs and 14 oz (27th percentile).  She didn't have to have any shots at her 9-month appointment, which was a relief to us all

---Is just starting to pull up on things

---Loves to get into things.  Her favorite activities are destroying her closet and my purse

---Eats lots of different foods.  Some of her favorites are mandarin oranges, bananas, scrambled eggs, carrots, and quinoa.  It's cute to watch her feed herself and open her mouth wide enough for a train to fit through for one little cheerio.
I like to imagine her pounding the try, chanting "more quinoa" in this picture

---Has had a rough month of sleeping.  Between teething, a cold, and a growth spurt we definitely regressed.  She is just going back to staying in her crib all night, and the pulling up is derailing that a little bit.
---Naps consistently.  She's a two-nap-a-day girl, and usually naps for about an hour

---Can give high fives and kisses (with her teeth), and has just started waving

---Is very noisy.  Her favorite sound is dadadadadadada

---Still has two sharp little teeth
---Wears size 6 and 9 month clothes and size 2 and 3 diapers
---Loves iphones
Just checking her email after church
---Holds her arms up to be picked up
 ---Gets really excited about showering

---Loves to read stories and can turn the pages of her board books all by herself

---Is growing out of a lot of her headbands.  I guess we will just have to buy more.
---Was excited to watch the Seahawks win the Superbowl

--Loves the cheerleaders.  This is our busy season, so we've been spending a lot of time at the high school.  Clara loves to see her friends and is a total ham for attention
---Lights up when Erik gets home from work

 ---Loves to rip up magazines
Sorry Kelly Ripa
---Is the best little buddy a mom could ask for

I can't believe my baby is 3/4 of a year old.  She is so much fun!  This month I've been thinking a lot about how grateful I am to be in a position where I can stay home with my girl.  While not every moment is a party, I love having her around to keep me company and make things interesting.  Our Clara Jaye girl is such a blessing to us!
