10 Months

On the 15th our Clara Jaye hit 10 months!  She is doing great and growing fast!

At 10 months Miss Clara...

---Is a sleeping champ.  She has slept 12-13 hours straight for the past several nights and still takes two naps during the day

---Has a biting problem...tips?

---Pulls up on everything, and can usually sit herself back down without a problem
---Misses her cheerleaders.  The season just ended so we don't get to see them every day anymore
---Loves to dance.  When music starts she starts bouncing like crazy and holds up her arms to be picked up and twirled.  She can also hit the ground to the beat, which is pretty cool.

---Is a destroyer.  Her favorite activity is pulling things out of cupboards and drawers.

---Waves whenever she is really happy or really mad, and has just started doing the baby sign for "more"

---Went to Utah for a short weekend trip with Mom and Dad.  She got to see her Nona and Auntie, and meet lots of friends and my grandpa, but she was a total beast on the plane ride home.  In her defense, it did get delayed 5 hours, making for a very long day.

On the flight home.  That face says it all.
---Can play catch and bounce the ball back and forth.  Erik says in one more month she'll be a better thrower than me
---Loves TV.  It's terrible and hilarious at the same time.

Clara got very sick this month.  This is poor sick Clara watching Baby Einstein.
---Still has two teeth.  Still in size 3 diapers.  Still in 9 month clothes.

This is at Subway.  It's her favorite place.  We like to share a sandwich, watch the ceiling fan, and wave at people as they come in.
---Has started to point at things that she wants

---Is turning into a daddy's girl.  She had a melt down when he left for work the other day
Hi Floppy

---Still loves the water.  We can't wait to go swimming in Boise!
We love our peanut! She is such a sweetheart and so much fun.  Happy 10 month birthday Clara girl!

9 Months

On February 15th Clara hit 9 months!  She has changed so much over the past month, it's like she learns something new every day.  It's so much fun to watch her little personality emerge and to see her discover new things.

At 9 months Miss Clara...

---Weighs 16 lbs and 14 oz (27th percentile).  She didn't have to have any shots at her 9-month appointment, which was a relief to us all

---Is just starting to pull up on things

---Loves to get into things.  Her favorite activities are destroying her closet and my purse

---Eats lots of different foods.  Some of her favorites are mandarin oranges, bananas, scrambled eggs, carrots, and quinoa.  It's cute to watch her feed herself and open her mouth wide enough for a train to fit through for one little cheerio.
I like to imagine her pounding the try, chanting "more quinoa" in this picture

---Has had a rough month of sleeping.  Between teething, a cold, and a growth spurt we definitely regressed.  She is just going back to staying in her crib all night, and the pulling up is derailing that a little bit.
---Naps consistently.  She's a two-nap-a-day girl, and usually naps for about an hour

---Can give high fives and kisses (with her teeth), and has just started waving

---Is very noisy.  Her favorite sound is dadadadadadada

---Still has two sharp little teeth
---Wears size 6 and 9 month clothes and size 2 and 3 diapers
---Loves iphones
Just checking her email after church
---Holds her arms up to be picked up
 ---Gets really excited about showering

---Loves to read stories and can turn the pages of her board books all by herself

---Is growing out of a lot of her headbands.  I guess we will just have to buy more.
---Was excited to watch the Seahawks win the Superbowl

--Loves the cheerleaders.  This is our busy season, so we've been spending a lot of time at the high school.  Clara loves to see her friends and is a total ham for attention
---Lights up when Erik gets home from work

 ---Loves to rip up magazines
Sorry Kelly Ripa
---Is the best little buddy a mom could ask for

I can't believe my baby is 3/4 of a year old.  She is so much fun!  This month I've been thinking a lot about how grateful I am to be in a position where I can stay home with my girl.  While not every moment is a party, I love having her around to keep me company and make things interesting.  Our Clara Jaye girl is such a blessing to us!
